CAREER SUMMARY
Instructor and Experienced Figurative Painter with an MFA who has exhibited nationally and regionally since 1991. Teaching Design and Introduction to Art at the State University of New York at Jamestown Have taught Drawing, Painting, Design and Studio Art for several art center, museum and school districts. Well versed in a broad range of media and techniques including oil and acrylics, watercolor, pastels, pencil, charcoal and printmaking. Strengths include:

EXPERIENCE
Art Faculty, SUNY Jamestown, 2002.
Responsibilities include course development and teaching Foundations in Design to create a firm formal grounding for students in the Arts, and Introduction to Art. This broad based course provides an overview of art history and theory, and experience in drawing, painting, design, printmaking, sculpture and installation, and critique.
Professional Painter, 1971-Present
Exhibited in national and regional juried and invitational exhibitions winning several awards. Create murals, paintings, portraits and illustrations for private and commercial clients. Active in public art projects and volunteer in community art programs.
Program Director/Instructor/Visiting Artist, 1989-2001
Taught Drawing, Figure/Portrait Drawing, Design, Painting and Studio Arts for a variety of art centers museums, and school districts. Formats include one-day workshops, summer sessions, semester long continuing education classes, teacher training and year long projects. Students ranged from teachers earning post baccalaureate CEU credit, to adult and college age students, to children K-12 including gifted and behaviorally challenged high school students. Developed projects to integrate arts into K-12 curriculum. Wrote grants to fund artist in residence projects. Juried student work for acceptance into Governor’s School of the Arts.
