About
Dan Byler holds a masters degree in Studio Arts/Ceramics from Edinboro University, and works in his studio primarily with white talc clay. Often drawing into the clay body, he completes his vase, platter, and wall pieces by using a variety of glazing techniques. His work is represented in numerous private and corporate collectiions. Dan enjoys working with "fluid" lines and shapes. As of late, Dan has been working on a series of Presque Isle wall and freestanding mantle pieces.
Dan teaches Art in the Fairview School District, Fairview, Pa.,and is actively involved in developing and sustaining the "Adopt an Artist" program at Garwood Middle School in Fairview. He is a member of the Art committe for Multiple Sclerosis Society's annual Art Lottery. He is looking forward to spending much more time in his studio upon retiring from education.
